Let's start by making the assumption that I'll be able to jump through the necessary "hoops" to legally work in the US. OK, then:
-the plan would be to work a contract between 6 months and 1 year in length
-it will not be a permanent move; I will be coming back to Canada
My main concern is income tax. I expect to be paying income tax where I'm working: US federal income tax and state income tax. Now, as I plan to return to Canada, I'm guessing that Revenue Canada will want their slice of the pie as well. Would I end up paying full income tax in Canada AND in the US, or would Revenue Canada be looking for the Canadian taxes LESS what I've already paid south of the border? Thanks.
