I'm a total newb.
When you take your foot of the gas in a car, it coasts.
When you go off throttle on a bike, the engine braking kicks in because it's higher compression (right?).
When you go back on the throttle, it jerks a bit.
I was wondering if this is "normal" or if you're supposed to use clutch throttle.
I.e. you're going at 60km/h, but slow to 40km/h. If you go off throttle you'll feel the engine braking, then when you engage it again it's another jerk backwards. Are you supposed to pull in the clutch and re-engage smoothly?
