First off this is a blatant forum cross post. I can do it because I'm a mod and if you tried it we'd ban yer butt....
Check this out...
But it also is a public service to advise you folks that spend all your time talking and typing about riding that there's a series of closed track training sessions coming where you can actually learn to ride your bike better in a controlled environment where there will be folks to help you and aid you in learning to extend your skills.
Some will say that the price is high. But I'd ask much is an excessive speeding ticket? Or how much does it cost to replace the side plastics and forks that you munched because you froze instead of smoothly braking and turning in on that corner you felt you hit too hot? What about the broken leg you got when the bike you COULD have got through that corner dumped on you and pulled you into the ditch with it?
So I say unto you rider wannabes that it's time to shut up AND put up. Join us at the Pitt Meadows track training sessions and learn to be a better rider so when the SHTF you be able to look back at the end of the day and say "PHEW! that had me worried for a moment there" instead of ".... owww... i'm hurtin'.... and my bikes a write off..... ".
This is what your bike was made for. Give it a chance to achieve in a safer environment and take home a huge grin all at the same time!
New rider? NO PROBLEM! One of our MIRs (Most Improved Riders) from last year showed up to his first session with only 3 weeks of riding to his credit. By the end of the second event he was riding like someone with 3 years of racing under his belt.
Show up with an open mind and looking to learn and you WILL come away a more confident and improved rider that knows more about their bike's limits.
