Icon Daytona or Alpinestars ATL
I purchased an Alpinestars Jacket a couple weeks ago, but i ordered a size too large. Too late to return it now, but oh well (far sale in the gear section)
anyway, I tried to find one in a size smaller, but they are all sold out now. So, im trying to figure out what to buy now.
Does anyone have experience with either of these jackets? Im looking for a little more relaxed fit and these seem to fit the bill. Im not the greatest fan of Icon gear at all, seems kinda gimmicky to me, but i havent heard anything bad about the leather jackets.
Any help is appreciated
I own the Daytona and really like it. Although its my first jacket so I can't really compare to any other ones, I have no complaints about it. It's holding up great and it's comfortable.
Hows the cut? Arms/torse seem and longer/shorter than other jackets you may have tried
I have pretty long arms and it fits me good. I was trying on a lot of shift jackets and didn'tlike them at all, no A* ones though. And i'm pretty sure it's no shorter then any other jacket i was trying. Overall, i find it really comfortable after it wears in
license to chill
A lot of online stores should still have the ATL as it's still being made and stocked.
Icon jackets are made for fuller "American" frames and A* generally more for slender "European" body types although ATL has a more relaxed fit than most others by them. Icon in general is definitely a good match for the kind of cut you're after.
I've owned jackets by both. Both are acceptable quality (jackets at least) but A* definitely more so.
ended up ordering a Daytona in size Medium. Fits well, definetely a 'relaxed fit' but am overall happy with it. Liner is definetely not as quality as from what ive seen from alpinestars, but its full sleeve as opposed to just a vest, so I guess its a trade off.
