Okay, you heard me!
Had to order a pair of size 50 SMX boots from the UK (they don't import them big enough into North America). I ordered them in November, had to wait for them to be produced by the factory, and they arrived mid week at home in Squamish mid-week. My dad brought them down here (UBC) on Saturday and they fit perfectly (can't believe the luck because I had NO IDEA whether or not they'd fit).
As a side note, after conversion from the pound and shipping and handling, I paid $67.55 less than I would have if I had bought them a shop in the lower mainland.
As a safety thing, I told myself that as soon as I had boots I'd buy a suit, and I happened to have the money (thank you scholarhips, you're paying for my biking gear! ) so Saturday afternoon I went out to Pacific Yamaha and picked up a "Titanium and Black" Joe Rocket Highside 2 piece.
Adjusted the carb, redid the fuel lines, changed the oil and threw the insurace on Saturday afternoon.
So, for anyone who's sitting at the computer reading this, thinking "Gee, isn't it a bit too chilly out to ride?" The answer is NO! IT'S GO TIME!!!!
(I'll try to have pics of the gear up later today)
