    Sportbike Shop Recommendation?

    Hi There,

I am looking to get some work done on my 01 R6 and Im looking for a small sportbike shop that can install new tires, change fluids & some minor electric work. Cheap but does good work.

Im in Langley, has anyone had any good expiriences with any small shops in the lower mainland?

    Thanks for any feedback.

If you are in Langley, spend a bit more and get 'er done at Western Powersports.

There is no such thing as cheap AND good. It's one or the other.

That's bullshit if I've ever read it....

Paying more doesn't eqaute to quality workmanship.

And when I say this, I speak from personal experience with the shop you are recommending.

Fine for you. I can speak from experience about the other two shops mentioned: junk.

Cheap out all you want. What do I care what you ghetto slugs do?

It has nothing to do with "cheaping" out at all.

Higher price doesn't guarantee higher quality.

Perhaps all the recommended shops are shit. It's not really about that, it's about your suggestion that you can't have cheap and good.

I've had good experience at Burnaby Kawasaki. I feel I've got good value for $$ there.

i'll have to agree with you on this one!! a close friend of ours took his cruiser yamaha in for a routine tune up.. when he was called to come in to discuss the work he was told the motor required a major rebuild and some very expensive parts be replaced... and warranty would not cover... of course he was beside himself regarding the report.. as far as he knew it was a simple oil change n' brake job w/ full inspection throughout...

apparently he wasnt as quiet as they had hoped when another rider refused to take his 'tuned' bike back as according to him "i expect my bike will require some heavy rebuilding to bring it back to shape, thanks for the offer, here's the keys... give them to the rightfull owner, thats a really nice ride "

for some reason its too damn hard for some wrench monkey @ Western to properly label customer's bikes as they come in for service

i wont even go into how useless their sales department is

now to answer the question at hand, i'd check out 5th Gear or Burnaby Kawi, they'll treat you right and do it right, period.

I rode Deal's Gap / The Dragon in September 2007 and I visited Yellowstone in August 2010. Where have you been?
