Okay, so my question is more than just the title. If one were to have a exhaust that is inteded for another bike. Would it be all bad if you used it on a different bike?
For examples sake, lets say a Hindle exhuast intended for a R6, to be fitting onto say a ZX-6R.
Now, I know the main thing about slip-ons is its just that...it slips on, no hassle, no fuss. But if one were to just build and weld their own piping system, and mounting system for the pipe...would it be all that bad?
Certain issues come to mind like: Back pressure issues, how would it effect the performance if at all?
Are pipes designed for a specific bike really more than just the piping extension from the exhaust. It might be a more different for differenct sized engines no doubt.
So in short, if you can weld and make the piping system, why or why can you not use an exhaust not directly intended for you bike?
