The bike I bought had a prev owner....when I bought it my boss (I work at bike shop), checked it over. He said the prev owner had WAY overfilled the oil.
I asked prev owner about it - he said oil change was done 6 mos ago at a Yammie dealership, showed me proof, and had no idea who overfilled it/why.
Today I popped open the dipstick and oil oozed out for tens mins. About a third of a litre. But the oil is NEW, like good, Yamalube. After it stopped oozing I recapped it.
I have the goods for an oil change here, but I don't think it needs it. Should I just syphon out the remaining overfilled part, until it is at normal level? I bet I could just turkey baster it 5 times or less and it would read fine...
What do you think?
