Went on a quick afternoon ride up Seymour Mt. today. Zero traffic and a fantastic day for riding.
Halfway up the mountain they had started sealing the cracks on the road with some kind of roll on tar. I had forgotten how slippery those black tar streaks are!! On a couple of those hairpin turns I really felt the tires loose their grip.
So if you're headed up Seymour (or any road with those tar streaked patches) don't lean as aggressively as normal on the turns.
Just my bit of riding wisdom for the day.
