'04 Kawasaki ZRX 1200R - loaded stage III Rex (pix)
I promised myself I would never sell my baby, but life has tossed me some curveballs and I no longer even have a full time job, so... here she is. A 2004 Kawasaki ZRX 1200R, US import with 29,000 miles on the clock (yes, miles). I bought it bone stock with 14k on the clock and have since poured a lot of goodies into her - the result was a sport touring muscle bike with epic torque and timeless style. She is in excellent condition, flawless paint and the only thing I can even come up with is a minor sticker scratch on the cowling that was there when I bought it and has never bothered me.
The Rex has a legendary motor, and in Stage III form puts out 130+ bhp and over 100 ft. lbs. of torque - most of that just off idle. Don't let the 70's superbike styling fool you - this thing is all modern both in motor and in handling. The entire reason I built this thing was for touring through the Kootenays, and for that it excels in spades. Very comfy, all day riding, and wailing through the twisties when you get there.
I could babble on all night about this bike, but below you will find the hard specs. If you are interested in a 10 second bike that can tour all day long (with shockingly good mileage, I see over 50mpg regularily when on the road) this is the ride for you. The exhaust has a delicious sound that is surprisingly quiet around town and a banshee wail over 5k, and as you can see below it is setup for creature comfort on the long haul. With under-seat storage large enough to hold a 4 litre jug and more (nope, not exaggerating) and a monster tank bag (included) I can tour for weeks - who needs luggage?

This is a special and somewhat rare breed of bike, and I have poured a lot of love and time and money into her. The result was everything I had hoped for, a powerband from the ground up full of space shuttle thrust and super comfy ergos. I would have laughed at the thought of selling her, but I'm on the back foot for a while and I can't bear to see her sit idle any longer. I need to sell this thing ASAP, and to that end I am asking $6800. While I am willing to listen to offers, quite frankly this is giving the thing away so if you are serious you won't insult me.
