March 29, 2002 - Kawasaki ZX-RR MotoGP Machine Revealed
The announcement that Kawasaki will compete in the MotoGP class of the FIM Road Racing Championship in 2003 marks the Japanese factory´s return to a series in which they haven´t competed since 1982 - an absence of twenty years.
Kawasaki will make their return to the World´s premier Road Racing series with an inline four, DOHC four-stroke, the ZX-RR.
Development of the ZX-RR four-stroke is being undertaken by the factory in Japan, with former Kawasaki World Superbike rider, Akira Yanagawa, heavily involved in the development process.
