Well I have talked with a few of you about this and anyone else who is willing to join in for a Supermoto ride in the twisty traffic-less roads of the interior please stand up.
It was brought to my attention that a weekend where we could camp out and enjoy multiple routes from one central area would probably be the best idea.
The real beauty is you guys from Vancouver would be about a 2 hour drive to get to where I'm thinking would be the best central location. Sorry if I'm being a bit vague about the location right now but I know there are some RCMP trolling that happens here and I'd just as soon they not know where we are until the first complaint gets called in.
The area I am thinking has 3 great twisty Supermoto roads that converge in the area and then about 4 or 5 more off of those that would have any super-retard smiling.
If this isn't something that interests you then no problem at all , but I'd really like to see everyone from the small Supermoto community be able to put aside any differences they have and come out and ride.
If a weekend is too long then come for the day and ride but I know a few guys that will be coming from 8+ hours away to make the trip and the location and the roads will make it worth their while as well as yours should you decide to stay.
So a few questions looking for input.
Would you personally want a Hotel room as an option close by as well as camping?
Would you guys prefer a weekend or a two day stretch mid week? I'm guessing for most the weekend is a better option?
I am also thinking about June , July or August so if any of you have to book time off or quit your jobs you should have enough notice. Is this too soon for some?
I don't want to lead anyone astray at all I won't be doing organizing or grab bags and party hats , catered meals and all that shit I am really just trying to get a bunch of like minded people riding the same equipment into the perfect environment to use their bikes and put a huge shit eating grin on their faces.
Then retire to the camp site/hotel and change oil and have a few drinks, maybe a BBQ and bullshit with a bunch of people, who are unlike most your friends and loved ones because they know exactly why you love riding your dirt bike with the little wheels on it. Get up the next day and repeat.
For the guys from Vancouver I think you will really like the fact there are no cop helicopters , stupid cagers or traffic lights anywhere to be seen.
For some of the guys coming from out east you will be in love with the elevation changes and the flow of the corners out here.
So I'm just throwing this out there and I know some of you will come and some of you won't and that's totally fine with me but if you are interested in going reply to this and any specific questions regarding location and the like I can PM to you.
If any of you guys want a little teaser of the routes to be had beforehand, and just can't wait like me , We could very easily meet on a Sunday coming up and put in a good days ride and preview some of the routes to be had. It would mean loading a few bikes in a truck and driving a maximum of an hour and a half before the fun begins.
