I'm a new rider, and just ride a 500 on the street, and I don't do any knee dragging type riding. When I ride, I wear helmet, jacket, gloves, and boots, but with regular jeans.
I know jeans offer pretty much zero protection, but I don't want to wear leather pants riding in town and meeting friends, especially if it's hot and I have to walk around a bit. Overpants look like hockey shorts, and the armour seems to move too much. Riding jeans seem to offer better abrasion protection, but no impact protecting armour. Under garment type armour seems to do the opposite, armour wrapped in lycra type material that offer no abrasion protection.
Is it better to be bruised but with the skin intact (riding jeans)? or the other way around?
