    2008 zx10r HELP!

so richmond motorsports has remaining stock new 0km bikes and I'm planning on pick one up. There 8499 plus freight and pdi which is like 1100 then plus taxes it works out to like 10700. I can pay that straight cash but what do you people think? Good deal, should I be paying less or should I try for a little throw in goodies?

RMS rapes people with their PDI etc. At most the PDI should be 2-3 hours of shop time, which would still be a lark for what they actually do.

We all know RMS and their PDI fiasco, but IMO, if they want to lower their base price and jack up their PDI, that's their choice. It all balances out in the end if say, BK had the bike for $500 more but charged $500 less for PDI. However, always negotiate what the final, out the door cost is after all taxes, PDI, bs levies etc etc.

So in other words, that's not a smoking deal. Mind you, they've been sitting on those for a while, so I'm sure you could do some wheeling and dealing.

Again the PDI amount is not really important. What is important is the final out the door price.

They can charge a high base and low PDI, or a low base and high PDI... don't matter just concentrate and compare out the door prices from various dealerships and make up your mind from there.

To me, if I was in the market for a new liter bike, ~$10,700 would be hard to beat/argue with. But like everyone said, don't get caught on PDI, taxes, etc. if you want a ZX-10R and buy based on price, call each Kawi dealer and say "I want to buy a ZX-10R, what is your out the door price?"

After 15 minutes on the phone you'll know whether you should buy from RMS or not.

There is lots of lost leader pricing on bikes with jacked PDI and doc fees.

That said $11g's for a brand new litrebike is a good price.

A new one will cost you way more than that.
