Good bye BC sport bikes !! no more speeding tickets (PICS)

Moving on to a cruiser from my custom zx6r( got bored in the winter and swapped the engine and body and painted it in a shack in a friends yard)
so now i picked up a 2004 V star 650 and you donkeys dont wave anymore !!!
anyway time to take what i have learned from sport bikes and start pulling the new one apart until its just right.

    and the new bike

any one else here also ride cruiser? I did a few trips on my zx6r, one down to san diego and back up through vegas and on a sport bike my wrists were done so decided to switch. Its been great riding with people from here over the years so ride safe guys and if you see a cruiser waving might just be me.

I did the same thing years back,
got rid of the sport bike and got myself a Harley, rode it for 2 years, got bored and now back on a sportbike.

If you think you can't get a speeding ticket on a cruiser, you're making a mistake.

Did the same thing 3 years ago. You will still need a windscreen for long distance trips and a set of bags.

Bike looks good. I'll still wave at you as long as you don't tell my mom cause she told me never to talk to strangers and waving is a form of communications so please don't tell her.

You're trading in your wrist fatigue for lower back spinal compression.

Agreed....a buddy has a VStar 650, and I find it very hard on my back, could not do the cruiser thing myself.

It's a pretty torquey motor actually, enough power for many.

didnt really consider it, I think one day I will definitely move on from cruisers and that will probably be the next direction. I dont plan on ever getting out of riding.

for sure, we swapped in a 99 zx6r engine, guage cluster, handle bars and starter 99 front fairing, flush mount signals, made the tail light my self with radio shack leds so the turn signals were housed in the brake light. and we drilled out the exhaust and cut it in half for a deeper sound. few other small things here and there.

to be honest price was a huge consideration, monthly insurance was 1 and i bought this for just over 5K with only 3600 km where as if i went to the 1100 its was $1000 more and they average around 30000km on craigslist.
