So I'm going to buy a new tv. Pretty much 99% decided on plasma based on my solid experience with a previous 50" panasonic viera 1080p
However, I am looking to grab a 50" for my new place as the other one wasn't mine. Only just started looking, wanting to spend like 1500 or less ideally.
So far, I'm debating between a Samsung PN50B530 and an LG 50PQ60.
First off - LG gives me the hesitation right off the hop, but figured for 300 bucks less might be worth it. Then I did some digging... turns out the LG one has a native resolution of the 1366x768 but does 1080p... which just seems weird to me. So figured I'm going to end up going with the Samsung out of these two so far.
Anyone have any experience they'd like to share, or ideas on places to pick up TVs etc etc. A good friend of my works at futureshop... yah yah.. me and everyone else.. but I can get at least a couple hundred bucks knocked off there on tvs.
I'm willing to take any suggestions or ideas on models and makes etc that will help guide my research. Any help would be suh-weet.
PS - I also live in Vic, but obviously ordering from Van isn't a huge deal.
