Well i got home last night and saw a small puddle of liquid under my front tire. The left fork seal on my 04 600rr is leaking. What a bloody pissoff! I didn't even wheelie the thing!
Anyways what is an average shop cost to change em? Ive been hearing anywhere from 150 to 300 for labor depending on the shop. I dont have any jacks or stands of any kind...not even a ladder to do the ghetto lift method with tiedown straps for a DYI job. And no vehicle to go get any. I'll go shop around on tuesday for the best price around town. Hopefully someone has a set of fork seals in stock!
Next question. I aquired a set of 600rr ohlins fork springs for basically nothing. I might as well have them put in while they have the forks apart anyway. Is there any benefit to doing this on the 600rr? Ive herd the stock fork springs are very capable. Also im not sure what spring rate these are, all it says on the springs are "- 100 L" on both ends of the springs. I threw the packaging out to get them home but there was nothing legible printed on the ohlins box anyway just random serial numbers. Anyone have a clue about this?
Thanks for the help.
