Last weekend I swapped over to TKC 80's for the KTM and tonight a pal and I had a 3 hour spoon fest changing the tires over on the 650 GS.
It is such a pain in the a** to change tires by hand (especially when I have a tire machine) but roadside up north is no place to re-learn old skills
Interestingly the last set of tires on the GS had been done at a local shop and they had left the washer and bolt between the tire and rim when mounting the tires and the wear and cutting into the inner tube was visible .
We have to buy tires in Alaska 700 US for two sets and in Fairbanks tires are 90 US a tire to have them mounted
Riding in the north is not cheap
