I have a few exhaust questions to which I'm hoping some of you may have answers:
1. Which method of sound attenuation do today's exhaust cans employ? I'm talking aftermarket cans, not stock cans, as I suspect that, due to environmental and noise regs, stock cans probably use absorption, restriction AND reflection. I don't know for certain, so please correct me if I'm wrong in my suspicion.
2. What is a typical (a) pressure, (b) temperature and (c) gas velocity at the exhaust valve of your average 600cc supersport engine? If you happen to know what these are for any other type of engine, I'd like to know that too.
3. What is the sound pressure level of an un-muffled engine? Again, for your average 600cc supersport.
Any help with these will be most appreciated.
