    Mission - June 13th/14th, 2009 - Round 4 & 5 photos

I was cornerworking in T4 on Saturday, so few photos (except one showing Al Schmidt lifting the back wheel braking hard into 4 ). All was quiet there except for the mosquitos - they were nasty in the afternoon. I just downloaded the whole whack of the photos, and these shots (all from Sunday) caught my eye. I will go through the rest in the next few days.

Mel (Zoomafoo) on his way to the podium:

    The Buell:

The mosquitos are nasty - Blair was ready for the bloodsuckers in T6 on Sunday:

    Racing in the weeds:

There was great racing all day:

Hard to get a clean background at Mission - these are as clean as Mission gets:

Awesome work, as usual, Tony. Thanks so much for that really nice, clean shot. I will definitely buy a print, CD or what have you for that. You rock!

Great shots Tony! Looking forward to seeing the whole gallery.

Good luck and have a great ride to Seattle! Is it too late to make a donation?

I have a lot more Mel - I downloaded the shots last night and these were a couple of the thumbnails that caught my eye.

Thanks Jacalyn - I am swamped with work this week, so I should the gallery posted by Friday. I will update this thread when the rest of them are done.

You can still make a donation - link sent via PM. I have already raised more than my needed amount, so feel free to donate to any other riders you may know who have not reached their goal yet (each cyclist must raise a minimum $2,500 to participate in the ride).

However, I am still accepting donations. Many thanks again to all who have donated

Thanks very much! My bike sputtered to a stop on the last lap of Sunday's second Novice race, however, so I've got some work to do to fix it before the next round. I think it's just a fuel-delivery problem, though, so hopefully nothing major.

Thanks, yes, I did in the Sunday a.m. race, much to my amazement. I wasn't really sure where I finished so I walked up to the tower and Bernie told me I came in 3rd. I was also pleased to see that my fastest lap was a 1:21 something, which was faster than I was on Saturday (gotta make it into the 'teens soon, hopefully).

Will you be there for the next race? If I can fix my bike I definitely will.

    Cheers!
