08 ninja zx6r leaking from left ferring?
On my left ferring close to the bottom there is a what appears to some kind of fluid leaking Down the bottom part. I'll post pics later but if anyone has an idea if this is just grease or should I take my bike in for service?
Is it that much of a pain to unbolt the lower left fairing on those bikes?

Are there any overflow hoses routed over there?
Excess chain lube getting warmed up from contact with the engine case, re-liquifying, and dripping down?
What is the consistancy of this "fluid"
Clear or amber/brown Oily? (hydraulic fluid)
Clear or Greenish colour? (coolant)
Dark and paste-like? (lube)
Do you know what the difference feels like on your fingers between antifreeze, hydraulic (AKA brake fluid) Engine oil, and so on? It's kinda hard to describe in words, but you can really tell the difference between most types if you get them on your hands, LOL
could be the crud from cleaning your chain depending on how you do it and what stuff you use. Check if it's coming from around the sprocket cover.
I know Kawi did a factory recall on the '07 ZX6 for a leaking head gasget. My buddies 07 is going in for a new head gasget under the recall next week. It leaks on the left side (when seated on the bike). It will splash a little bit of oil out the left fairing vent by your knee.

I just checked with my buddy. The valve cover gasget is faulty and there is a Factory Repair order for both 07-08 models.
