I have a scratch on the top of my tank that goes down to the bare metal. I was stupid enough to attach a home made camera mount that swivled and gouged up the paint.
I was about to order the color-rite paint stick, primer, base coat, and clearcoat online. This'll likely cost over $100 or more with shipping. Once I fix it, it will still likely look like shit however. My paint has a blue flake effect that reflects the sunlight and the bike's colour changes from black to blue in the sun.
My question is: Does anyone have some tips to do this yourself, or would you rather have it done? I don't want to spend a ton of money for this, but I don't want it to look crappy either.
Any suggestions on paint shops that would do small touch ups for a decent price?
