This is a major story, that does not seem to be getting much media attention (hmm... wonder why that is...).

To make a long story short:
Recently in Oliver, BC - Apparently police saw a motorcyclist riding erratically, but did not stop him. They saw his bike parked on the street, and stole his helmet (supposedly as incentive to think twice and not ride, was off0duty officer). So he comes out and sees no helmet, so he rides his bike without - and into the back of a pickup truck. Rider dies
Police originally lied about the incident.
Something really needs to be done about this.
