Well I just saw yet another 'news' program about street racing. Normaly I just ignore these things, but this one was filmed just blocks from my house.
Did these reporters go to journalism-type school?
1) I am tired of reporters than cannot tell the difference functional difference between terms such as street racing, speeding and/or exessive speeding. If they cannot keep these terms appart, how can we expect them to work with terms such as suspect, criminal or defendant? I see these terms being interchanged WITHIN sentances.
2) Many "rocket" cars were identified as being too powerfull and "dangerous" in the hands of teens. Did these reporters do any research before they decided to call a 318 BMW a "rocket"? Did they bother to look up the horsepower/weight ratios of the cars being shown? NO, they just sat on thier hands and judged cars based purely on looks (and stickers).
If they did not know anything about cars then why were they out to get a story ABOUT CARS!?
When are we going to wake up and demand local reporters that are not just talking heads?
