Ok we are back from a simply amazing ride, including meeting 2 BCSB members on the ferry north. Hi Travis!!
The road to Prudhoe Bay was less challenging as a ride than Inuvik and we had mostly good weather for both.
I will post up my ride report on adventure rider (with pics later next week) and provide a linky here
This was my fourth trip in 4 years to the Yukon and Alaska and I plan to ride there again next year. It is simply amazing riding and scenery.
It is much easier on the right bike and the lighter dual sports KTM's, KLR's and BMW 650's seem to do quite well. Lots of Ewan McGregor Wanna-be's on 1200 GS Adventures they are still too big and heavy, my 990 (21" Front) was just about perfect, but still I would buy a 690 KTM or used 650 Dakar for my next northern bike
Even though we have been doing this for a while, we still took too much stuff and left most of it before we rode to Prudoe at the cabins we were staying at.
I am now going though the packing that was never opened/used and taking it off my list for next year.
