This is a short ride to support human rights. As you all know, many countries around the world are suffering and at present, Iran is sadly right at the centre of this. People are being arrested, beaten and killed just because they want freedom and democracy.
A huge human chain will be stretching down both sides of W. Georgia, starting noon Saturday 25th July and people will be wearing green and black.
This is what we can do to show our support:
Meet at the car park at Beach Ave. and Cardero on the water side of the road at 12 noon. We leave at 12:15pm and ride around the SE side of Stanley Park. We merge onto W.Georgia and take a slow ride along the street. Once we reach Cambie, we loop around and ride back down Georgia, park the bikes near the Art Gallery and those who want to join the human chain can. Wear something green or put a green flag on your bike so they know why we are there.
All you need to do is spread the word and turn up on time.
I hope to see a lot of you there.
