I sold my street bike in Halifax when i moved out here last year. Its killing me not having one but I cant push myself to pay $6000 for a 98-2001 bike. People here think their bike are worth so much money I cant believe it. Anyways I see everyone complaining but Im not paying that much so its down to the states to get one.
So if I were to find a bike across the border can anyone tell me what I need to do to:
1: make sure its not a lemon or that it will pass inspection
2: make sure I have all the paper work in order before handing over cash
3: Legally get it across the border by Driving it back here or putting it on a trailer??? would prefer driving it.
4: Also making sure i have everything for ICBC because i know they put us through the grinder getting our new car changed over...
also what do you guys think a 2001 600CC bike would cost for insurance here?
Im looking at spending 3000-4000 for a decent bike that is at least fuel injected not carbs.
Thanks for any info I really appreciate it, Im itching to get on the road but not enough to bend over backwards and pay crazy dollars for 9 - 12 year old bikes.
