So we're big.
And getting bigger daily. I'll spit some stats out to you guys one day and you'll see the growth. It's pretty nifty. Or you can just check out http://www.bcsportbikes.com/stats if you like.
What I would like to do is this:
Have an open discussion with all of you as to what you feel this site needs, and what it doesn't need.
I was going to write up a list of 'rules' for the site and the forums this evening, but figured they are not really up to me to write anymore - so what do you want? These are some of my guidelines:

No porn
No attacking other members on the forums, take it off the site if you must.
No non-motorcycle or non-local life related pictures in the photogallery, everything else can be posted as an attachment in the open category for all of you that like posting pictures of small dead rodents, or what have you.
No graphic images without a [NWS) (not work safe) tag in the title, many people surf this site from work and we don't want to get anyone in trouble.
Dealers can have dealer status in the dealer forum to promote their shop, store, wares, whatever, but in doing so restrict themselves from entering the regular Buy & Sell section because that is a personal section intended for non-commerical use.
No spamming. Posted in 1 forum? That's enough, don't post in multiple forums.
No replying in the Buy & Sell forum except to bump your own message. This will keep down the crap and hopefully ensure the seller describes their product well enough. This works for EBAY and the 'Buy and Sell' so it should work fine here. Also TONNES less work for the moderators to cut the crap out of there.
One other area that is a bit sketchy for me is the posting up of events that cost money. Specifically by the person who would be making the money. I caught a lot of flak for letting Flyin' Busa post the 'Superbike school' messages. I'm still not entirely sure why because I know she doesn't make a dime off them. Maybe she gets a free ride, I don't know -- but she offers a lot to the members of this site with newbie rides and offers her cafe regularlly for different events free of charge. I like having all events posted up, and I'm not paticularly concerned about any 'pay as you go' events posted up; this really hasn't been an issue - but if it is for you, speak up.
What I think are some general other good guidelines:
Don't post things that are garbage. I hate logging onto this site after 1/2 a day and having 460 new messages and 1/2 of them being crap. It's ok in the open forum, but under the Sportbikes category, I'd like to keep the posts to actual content.
Let me know what you guys think. Post up your ideas. This is your chance to make a big difference in the direction we go. Yes I own the site, and yes sometimes I don't see all sides as I'm human too.
On a side note: I've considered unbanning all banned members (not that they're a lot of them), but I'm thinking about it because I want to be fair and rules were not written in stone at first.
Also, if you feel uncomfortable talking in a public forum about your ideas, feel free to email me @ firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll be more than happy to listen.
Thanks for your time reading this, I think this year is going to be awesome.
