Ok with the rash of VI's getting handed out and talk of cops informing us of new regulations I would like to know where can we get the straight goods?
I personally own a bike in which the rear tail assembly has been cut off. You know the part... that ugly piece that hangs way out back and carries the turn signals and license plate.
Now with cages I'm pretty sure a cop needs 3 things wrong with your car in order to issue a VI. So what about bikes?
There is a plethora of aftermarket parts being sold and I'd like to make sure that when I start modding I am doing it within the law.
rear signals... clear are now being sold on some bikes as stock. Are previous bikes allowed to install them then? Does the bike have to remain OEM or are we allowed to mod the rear plate and signals to within the specified dimensions?
New fairings, stretching, clear lenses on tail lights, spike fairing bolts, etc... where does the law say whats allowed and whats not. How do cops know all the shit required to hand out a VI?
