I'm looking to buy a new (to me) bike, and I'm considering going new.
Actually, I don't really like what I'm seeing in the used market, and not a lot is catching my eye in the new either.
Anyways, I have zero patience for playing the negotiating game with a bike salesman that not only has more information than I do, but has more experience at taking people like me to the cleaners.
So, to begin with, I'm looking for a way to find out what the canadian dealer invoice price is. As well, I'm interested in knowing what, or if, there are holdbacks, or factory incentives. I've done a little reading and that's about all I know. [I've seen a pay-for-play US website for this, but not for canada]
I'm also interested in what additional costs are legitimate and which are bogus. I'd like to make this as simple a process for myself as possible, and while I've already visited a few dealerships, I kind of prefer to whittle the options down on the phone first.
Thanks for any hard facts anybody can offer
