I made a quick dash to Toronto over the weekend to get my bike in a better position for a ride later in the month. 4300 Kms
It was a nice ride, good weather and sadly a ! -90 slab fest. I have been playing around with the Garmin 478 with the weather option and it is simply amazing. I was going to run I 90 then I 94 but the GPS screen showed clouds and rain all over I 94 and I 90 was clear the whole way. 35 more miles and no rain.
Best stories for the trip I am in a restaurant east of Sturgis and not quite awake and I go down to the Breakfast buffett (free) at the Best Western.
I walk on and look around and realize I am wearing my This is your brain (BMW Logo) This is your Brain on Drugs (H-D Logo) T Shirt
I sit down the room has gone Quite and I say good morning to the folks at the next table, the one guy looks at me - he has a lot of Bandido Crests on his vets and it wa apparent he is high ranking and he smiles and the lady at the table says I REALLY like your shirt.
Later that day I was getting gas and a few guys with HD came over to ask me what the deal was with the police _ outlined how many I had seen and what their setup was. The one guy was very concerned because his Ape Hangers were right at the legal heith depending how you measured them.
I looked at him and said well try to get a woman police office to measure them and they will sure to be under height, the women all grinned and he started laughing I later realized the error of my ways and STFU the rest of the ride
Oh it was hot 42 C on Saturday, I took the Lake Express across Lake Michigan (missed Chicago) and rolled in to Toronto at 6 on Monday after a late start and a good sleep in
7 am Westjet back to Vancouver yesterday and at work by 10. Frequent flyer points are the Bomb
The Toronto Airport Hilton has secured 15 day parking, free shuttle and luggage storage and a Room for 139.00 such a deal
I had a nice dinner in Milwaukee with a woman I have ridden in two IBR's with before I got on the Cat.
Moving your MC to a new riding area can be an efficient way to ride in other places
