Our next, and last Pitt Meadows track day is coming up on September 12th.
If you're at all toying with the idea of running your bike on a track, this is a safe way to test the waters before you try out Mission at the Track Daze event. After you spend some time at Pitt Meadows then you will probably want to head out and try out Mission Track (see the WCSS thread for the next track day).
We run our track days at the Pitt Meadows Airport - a safe and great place to find out if you like track days. This is not racing - you will probably end up dicing a bit though.
There will be a caterer at the track around 1230 pm so you can get your lunch without leaving the site.
Remember these days are **NEWBIE FRIENDLY** and we encourage new riders to come out - most who were there last time ended up with a lot more skills to use while street riding.
Stock exhaust is preferred but if you can keep your decibels at 88 then you will be good to go.
Prices for the day and 1/2 day are cheap at:
$60 half day
PayPal your payment to me at "nej (at) telus (dot) net". If you don't have PayPal let me know and I will work it out so you can pre-pay. There will be a $20 surcharge for all of you who haven't booked by the 7th of September so book early to avoid this charge.
Gates open - 8:00 am
Mandatory Rider's meeting - 8:50 am
First group out at 9:00 am
Lunch break - 1:00 pm (lunch truck arrives at 1230 pm)
Mandatory afternoon rider's meeting - 1:50 pm
Afternoon starts at 2:00 pm
End time & cleanup - 5:00 pm
You will get a minimum of one 15 minute session/hour and as people who have been to Pitt Meadows before will attest, you will be tired at the end of the day (even though this doesn't sound like a lot of time).
And as usual - no stunting, racing or crazy stuff on the way in or out - if we want to keep these going then we have to be cognizant of the neighbours in the area - they're giving us a shot at being good citizens here so let's not disappoint.
If you want me to put you on the list (email) just PM me with your details.
Check out some of the other threads for details of the last events.
If you're new to tracking riding check out this post: CLICK HERE to see what one of new guys said after two times out (he was a track newbie too before coming out to Pitt Meadows).
Hope to see you all there.
