I'm going to take the PRS course next month, and by the time I'm done and have enough money for a bike/gear/insurance (starting a new job) it'll probably be past the halfway mark of October. I presume I won't be able to get a lot of riding in before the weather is too crappy.
Is it a bad idea to start late in the year? Unfortunately I go to school in Victoria (really wanna take the PRS course based on word of mouth), so I'm usually over there. This fall I'm in Van for a co-op, so it seemed like a good time, as it will be difficult in the spring and I might be out of province in the summer.
Will I get enough practice in to be safe when I start again in the spring? Can I just take a refresher lesson and probably be fine after being off for at least a couple (few?) months?
