LANGLEY: On August 21st Langley RCMP attended Old Yale Road at 224 after a report of a single vehicle collision between a motorcycle and a deer.
As officers began their investigation, it was quickly discovered that the motorcycle was, in fact, stolen from Chilliwack on August 9th of this year. Investigation revealed the driver clipped the deer and was thrown from the motorcycle into a roadside ditch. The deer ran off after the collision, seemingly uninjured.
The driver, a 40 year old Langley man, was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property. He was also found to be in breach of his Conditional Sentence Order. Officers attended Langley Memorial Hospital with the driver until he had been seen by medical staff. He suffered a few broken bones. He was then escorted to the detachment where he was served documents compelling him to court and subsequently released."
