i was on my way out to have a look at a bike i was considering buying.
i'm on my gixxer heading east on the freeway towards the port mann bridge.
i am in the hov lane doing about 110 km/hr. just east of the brunette exit
there was a truck heading west in the hov lane without his load secured,
anyway a 30 foot long piece of what looked like insulation membrane clear plastic flew off the back of his truck , went over the meridian and landed on me. the plastic went around my helmet ,chest , wrapped around the left mirror, handle bar and the clutch lever. the plastic wrapped around the bar
and clutch lever so tight it released the clutch. the plastic wrapped itself
around the sprocket and rear brake and the rest of it was acting like a
parachute. it lifted the back wheel in the air. things were happening too fast
to raise the pucker factor all i could do was hang on and close the throttle
and coast to the left side of the lane and stop. the van behind me slowed
down and blocked the traffic around me(THANK YOU THANK YOU) i pulled the plastic off me and the bike , had a quick look to see if the all of the bike was
still there(some damage to the windscreen and rear brake) and then i carried on.......... and oh ya i bought the bike i went to see.
