I'm looking to replace my bike and I came across this add on craigslist. This is pretty much the bike I'm looking for, so I thought that this would be the first place I started to see if anyone here knew this bike and could tell me anything about it.
Thanks (and I hope this is the right forum)
400 Bandit, Suzuki - $3000 (Strathcona, Vancouver)
A great example of an amazing motorcycle, 1992 Suzuki Bandit 400. If you don't already know the bike look it up on Bikez.com and check out the stats. This bike is a very fun machine, easy to ride around
the city and cheap, it gets scooter priced insurance, but if you want to you can get some real power and handling out of this machine. It is rated at 50hp, which is more than enough in such a small bike, I easily toured over the Pass through Hope and Merrit on into the Kootenays with saddle bags and my girlfriend on the back, and we maintained highway speed without strain the whole time. Very reliable, and although it can be quick it is easy to ride for many skill levels of riders, simple enough for new riders, exciting enough for advanced riders. This particular clean bike comes with virtually new Conti tires and heated handle bar grips. There are only a couple stratches on body and engine case where the previous owner told me it went down at low speeds, and was never in need of a repair. A great bike, very practical but also keeps the excitment going, well advanced for it's year in design, only now seeing naked bikes like it (such as Ducati Monsters, which some people seem to think it is). Check out the pics, and click on the link to here some audio, then get back to me with cash in hand. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sprz269j-mg ). $3,000obo.
