Were you guys bored and doing the airport loop again?
I went out for a ride and ended up having to run the guantlet known as Richmond. As I was making my way towards the Arthur Laing Bridge, I spotted the popo with the cherries all lit up by the marina and it was a couple (i think, could have been just 1) of riders getting what looked like a stern talking to, and the policeman's phone number.
As I passed, I see a few more riders yonder pulled over the side, from what I could tell waiting on the shoulder.
In the case of being pulled over during the group ride, what is the procedure? Should we all be pulling over and possibly getting ticketed?
Does the sweeper becomes the sacrificial lamb, and hope the police ticket's him/her? Should a wingman also pull over with the sweeper to take the hit as well and make sure everything is okay? (I know this isn't Quebec, so it should be fine).
And if the police ignores the sweeper and continues, do you all drop by one by one untill the police picks someone to ticket?
I'm sure there must be some sort of common courtesy especially when majority of the group is meeting for the first time.
I'm not condoning running from the police, but at the same time, does this mean every man for themselves?
