BCSB had mountains of experience with a lot of things. #1 on that list is pouring out bullshit to dumb questions by the Gigabyte. (TripleTime, 12-10-2014 03:19 PM)

Wow! what a coincidence. My family and I just stopped in Salem to spend the night on the way home!

After watching their video......duh....hey let's all ride abreast so we can add to the carnage!

Crap! watch the video at the bottom - the guy says the SUV in front just slammed on his brakes for apparently no reason.

I have to go that way tomorrow... I think american drivers are far far worse than canadian drivers.

    With which one?

Whatever the cause, the domino effect needs drivers/riders to be too close.
Keep a safe braking distance, create and protect your safety zone, and this type of incident is avoidable.
Cruisers (and some sportbike groups) simply don't ride defensively - they just ride slowly!
I don't know any more than anyone else about this incident other than the news report, but there is simply no reason for a pile up like this other than poor roadcraft.

I just came up from Cali on Wednesday not by choice but through circumstance on I-5. It is what it is. Straight and boring. A lot of the cars set the Cruz control and zone out. I hate Cruz control and think it should be illegal. Then the buggers plant them serves in the fast lane so they never have to turn off the Cruz control. I call B.S. Lets get rid of the distractions and pretend were driving instead of eating chips watching TV on the chesterfield at home.

I agree - the drive up I-5 is horrible! Id10t's in cars all over the place spaced out so no one can pass them going just under the speed limit.
