Hey all. Im just about to blow some more money on my 600rr and im having trouble making a decision. Which do you think would be better a steering damper or power commander?
I have a hindle full system with stock air filter right now and its actually not running to badly. There is no popping or backfiring or anything nasty happening, and my exhaust pipe is a nice golden brown color at the tip, not super light indicating lean and definitely not black indicating a rich condition.
Next question. Does a steering damper make your inputs smoother and help with cornering or is it just a safety device for tank slappers? Ive never ridden with one so i have no idea if there is any improvement to how the bike rides.
Seems to me that having sufficient dampening dialed in would absorb some unwanted steering inputs should you be having a bad day technique wise(We can't always be smooth 100% of the time unless your last name is "Rossi") or if riding a particularly bumpy road at a good pace. Any merit to this?
Anyways i have about 700-800 bucks of disposable income to spend and need some good ideas. Btw ive already ruled out suspension upgrades/tweeking and track days as there's nothing like that available in the okanagan, and making a trip to the Vancouver area is out of the question right now.
I already got
-1 on the front sprocket
Hindle full system
R1 radial master cylinder and steel braided lines
HRC Racing throttle
