I was taking the front lines off my bike to give to PH-Q2 to replicate in stainless steel when I noticed one line was cut.
Guess what was under the rubber? Braided stainless steel!
Am I the only one who mistakenly thought the stock lines were rubber, like cars? If so, what an idiot I am. I thought the sponginess at the lever was due to the rubber line deforming under pressure but obviously I had more bleeding to do.
I still want the new lines, a steel @ $100.00, no pun intended, but I am frustrated as I am very fussy about my brakes (bleed once a month, change fluid twice a season) and now I am worried that the new lines won't give me the result I am looking for.
