I'd like to suggest that more experienced riders keep the sarcastic/flaming/critical comments to a minimum in the "new riders" forum.
Recently there was a thread about 'what gear should the literbike be in during cornering' and people piled on the dude. OK, I question the judgment of a new rider getting such a powerful machine too, but hey, he's got the bike, let's just deal with answering his question in a respectful way, or ask for some clarification if required.
If a noob thinks he/she is going to be flamed when they ask a question, then they won't ask, and stay in the dark. Obviously they feel you have some expertise, so respect that, and keep this area a welcoming environment. It doesn't mean we have to necessarily lose the BCSB "edge".
I'd much rather read a so-called "dumb question" than an RIP thread.
