With great sadness my little companion of 9 years has passed away.
Diesel may not have been a Motorcyclist but I feel he was a big part of the motorcycle community. I got him the same year I opened 5thgear. In the early years it was just him and I.
Diesel guarded the bikes everyday like a 120lb German sheperd not a 12 lb Terrior. He would run up my leg and ride on the motorcycle with me to work or sometimes in a back back.
Whenever customers came in the shop they were welcomed. If they sat on the couch he would be more than happy to keep them company when they left he escorted them to there bike and showed them how to get out of the parking lot, Barking " Have a safe trip , see you again !! "
He even had his own social network at home. He would routinely visit about 8 different houses everynight and then wait on the neighbours porch which gave him a view of the kitchen window and my sons room watching until we went to sleep. Then he would come home ( the we Toddler pestered him to much) . But he still kept an eye on things.
Diesel always knew were I was at all times, If i left for 2 minutes or 2 days he was all full body wag and happy to see you often picking up something to give to you as a gift.
I miss him more than anything. Holding your dog as he dies is something I never wanted to happen.
WIll miss you forever little buddy you will never be forgot.
IF you have pics of him please post so i can have them , thanks
