Hey guys, just wanted to let you know about some winter riding opportunities down here:
First off, the local arenacross series has a class just for supermoto bikes. Just slap on some hammered rain tires.. it's a blast (http://www.whrmotorsports.com). I would typically put an mx rotor on my rain wheels and swap wheels between classes.
These tracks are different every week and are built for every level of rider. Hell, if I can do it with my meager dirt skills, anybody can do it. There are obstacles that are easy, some to work up to and some you just have to check your ego and know that it's for someone else to do.
Ryan Pugh actually finished third against all the knobby guys in the vet class on rain tires!
Also, Dec 5th we will have our awards presentation and supermoto riders only play session (knobbies are ok, just has to be riders from our extended sm community). You guys are more than invited to come play with us.
And if you want to get out on the pavement, PacificGP.com is open all winter too.
