This is the 3rd bi-monthly blood drive I am organizing (1st on BCSB) hopefully more people show up this time. December 17th, the clinic is 4750 Oak St, Vancouver, South of Children's Hospital, North of 33rd.
Before donating, we will hit up the best sushi joint in town on Granville @ 41st, all you can eat including tip for around $14. You are more than welcome to attend just lunch without donating. 12:30PM, SW corner. "Ebi sushi" or something like that
The whole process takes about 40 minutes from start to finish, mostly waiting and a page of questionaire to fill; actual donating takes about 15 minutes. If you've got veins of steel it only takse 8 minutes :P
For more info please visit http://www.bloodservices.ca/
I will be there from 1:30PM to as late as 4:00PM (depending on how many people made appointments, mine is at 1:45) Call TODAY to reserve your spot, when I called at 8AM on Nov 19 only 2PM-7PM was available.
If the weather is very nasty, something like frozen solid snow and uber crosswind, I will be in a cage, hopefully it's cloudy or just rains. Every sticker will make your bike go 1km/h faster
They don't draw enough blood to make you dizzy, just drink plenty of fluids ahead of time, the last 2 times I was on 2 wheels and rode home perfectly fine, albeit some bitch trying to run me over, thank you karma.
