Hey i just bought this for this hot summer days next year were even my perforated leather jackets cook in anything but spirited rides out of town. Its called the troy lee supermoto speed jacket. Originally designed for supermoto riders that were constantly getting road rash from standard mx pressure suits during ash fault get offs.
Its built on a perforated leather chassis to protect from road rash with built in shoulder/elbow/chest/back armor. Unlike most jackets this armor will stay in place during a crash unlike most that shift and still expose you to hard pavement during a slide. I found this out first hand 3 summers ago when my textile elbow armor shifted instantly when i lowsided...allowing my elbow to smash the ground 6 or 7 times before i came to a stop.
The back protector doesn't look as good as a dedicated race model, but for street riding i think its a decent compromise, and it cant be any worse than that icon field armor that peeps are wearing more and more.
For those that might say a full leather suit is better i already own a joe rocket 2 piece suit and a teknic perforated jacket with sidi boots. I want this stuff for those really hot days in july when leathers are too freakin hot and i wont ride in dental floss...i mean mesh jackets. They just don't seem to offer adequate protection. anyways....discuss.
