I am curios about the police policies regarding the use of deadly force. It seems more and more often I am hearing about someone being killed by the police but I almost never hear that they had a gun ? In some cases we are told they had a knife or were moving towards officers in a threatening manner. It would seem it is far to easy to just reach for a gun and kill someone rather than get into a physical altercation.
My questions are:
1) Does someone need to be armed for the police to shoot them?
2)Are the police still trained in proper hand to hand combat including how to disarm a person?
3)Also are you allowed to point your weapon at someone who is unarmed?
