Mobil 1 Racing 4T is a fully synthetic, SAE 15W-50 where do u get it from???
Anyone know where to get this stuff.... Rogue forum highly recommends this stuff for the RC51, but hard to get.
Mobil 1 Racing 4T is a fully synthetic, SAE 15W-50, ultra performance race proven 4-stroke motorcycle engine oil. It combines advanced synthetic technology with a balanced additive system that exceeds API Service SG and SH and provides superb protection under the most gruelling riding conditions including sustained high speed, high temperature operation.
Shucks auto supply in Bellingham carries it. $8.99 US qt.
The stuff that a buddy sent me from Motorcyle Consumer News, where they did a comparison of oils using bikes, lab tests etc. rated Mobil not that high. Amzoil, Golden Spectro, Motul all rated higher in most categories. I'd post this stuff but it's about 25 pages long.
Honda's own oil was not very good. Castrol car an bike oil showed little difference.
I'm going to try Red Line oil as it consistently rated high in most categories. Mike Velasco who was Freddie Spencers tuner and now operates an engine shop in Bremerton also swears by Red Line. All the synthetics kept their anti wear and heat shedding qualities way longer than normal oil.
Pacific Yamaha used to sell Golden Spectro. I've used it before and you can feel the shifting in your bike improve with it.
oooooops. Just checked Mobil's site. You can get 10-40 synth racing oil at Shucks. Not sure about 15-50 though.
