Now I dont have a fancy book of invoices designed to issue tickets but when an officer is breaking the law and joe public wants to do something about it what is our course of action?
ie: flashing the lights to get through a red and then carrying on driving normal, lane changes without the use of signals, tailgating a car (or bike in my case last year).
We've all seen officers work above the law, it's unfortunate and I understand you persons are only human but if your going to hand out tickets to us then I expect officers to set the example.
also, just wondering... why do officers get so damn irritated when asked for their badge number? As far as I was taught your obligated to provide it right away without question. Anything less states that you are in fact not an officer and do not wish to identify yourself as such. We have the right as far as I know to confirm who you are with your detachment before engaging in any contracts with yourselves.
not trying to be an ass just looking for an answer to put on the other shoe.
