Watching the opening ceremonies on TV and it's actually really fun to watch!
watching it aswell and ive never really payed that much attention before. i cant believe how many countrys have only one athlete...its awesome. i love how they announced the skier from ghana the "snow leopard". " i dont just want to show people i can ski, im here to actually beat somebody" thats great, i hope he does
Did anyone else who's watching the opening ceremonies feel a lil uncomfortable when those "totem poles" were erected in the beginning?
Other than that, pretty spectacular production, still watching it.
It was all pretty cool. Its a shame the Torch lighting didn`t go as planned.
I laughed at the look on Steve Nash`s face,"Wtf is going on?"
Hug a two stroke....you`ll never go back to trees.
Nobody would have known if the dummy reporter guy didn't say "THERE IS A PROBLEM HERE"... lol
The show was awesome!
I teared up when I realized the flame Rick Hansen and the rest were carrying was the same flame I carried last week. Makes you feel part of something.
Having that torch has made me a local rockstar.
I was just there and the energy in the building was AMAZING!
2 thumbs up for the ceremonies!
The Cult of Motard.
Just say NO to fairings!
We rock. Best show yet. My Daughter and I even found a new song for her talent show at school coming up. I have never been a big KD Lang fan but I must say she kicked some ass.

I walked down to the Surrey Olympic Zone to watch the different countries enter the stadium and it was a pretty cool experience. It was raining quite a bit but there was still a large crowd enjoying the different stations and cheering in front of the big screens...there were larger crowds in the beer gardens but that shouldn't be too surprised as 1) it was raining a lot and 2) that's where the beer was.
For me, I am against us having the Olympics but now that it has arrived and I can't change anything I am trying to make the best of what I think was a terrible decision. So with that in mind, I enjoyed the opening ceremonies and thought everyone did a great job; it turned out pretty damn good on TV so I imagine in person it was phenomenal. Nice to see Bryan Adams doing his thing on stage, and I thought the 1min of silence was a classy move.
B-r-a-d-l-e-y...Why? Because I'm Bradley!
Was getting updates from friends there in person. They said everybody was, quote, "drunk out of their mind".
