Irish House rolling in dough!!!!

# Thread: Irish House rolling in dough!!!!

1. ## Irish House rolling in dough!!!!

I think the irish house is rolling in mega dough. Capacity of 750 people and cover is \$20 and it doesn't include drinks. \$8 for beer.

Let's do some math:
750 visitors a day x (\$20 cover + \$8 beer) = \$21,000 sales/day

20 days of sales = \$420, 000
28 days of sales = \$588, 000

Looks like you can make half a million dollar of sales in just 28 days, gotta be super easy money! I want some of that business!

Let's up this to:
-750 visitors a day (\$588,000) x 4
-\$20 cover
- everyone drinks (4 x \$8 beer) (Irish people love drinking!)
= 6.7 million dollars!!!! in 28 days. Now you tell if if they are going to be raking in all the money after all the logistics!

2. Don't forget the VANOC tax ...........

3. Revenue does not equal profit.
What are all the staff wages? How much did it cost to get everything there? And to take it down after? Cost of goods (beer, etc.).

4. Capacity of 750 max, but how many people overall per day are going there? It might be 3-4 times the maximum capacity as people come and go all day.

I'm sure they are raking in money. Look at all the attendees and veyr long lineups! 750 people/day is the worst case scenario. I'm sure they are doing at least 2 times that.

6. Considering a Keg of beer cost under \$100 dollars and they are serving 250ml glasses at \$4.50...You do the math, a can of coke is 355 ml.

7. The Irish might be nuts, but they're certainly not stupid.

8. I was at the food court in the mall the other day,
bought one can of pop for \$1.50.
That's \$1.50 x 24 = \$36 for a 24 which cost only \$8 at costco.
If you sell enough, you could make a fortune.
Easy Money

9. i got this from a buddy working at the olympic plaza of nations food area:

coke sold to city of van = \$1
Van sells coke to vanoc = \$2
Vanoc sells coke to vendor = \$3
vender sells to you for \$4 or \$4.50.

Plus, Vanoc will take 25% of your Gross sales!

if you want to make money, start another org like vanoc. call it bcsb-oc or something. then get gordon campbell on your side..he'll give you free money too.

10. After paying all the permits, rentals and staff I'd be surprised if they make much profit at all....they had to have enough money to front it in the first place, probably had to bid on it...and they will probably have to split a % of the profits with the city. More headache then it's worth most of the time, but it's a service that needed to be available.

11. On the other hand, i dont see German house making that much.
Ended up leaving the INSIDE line.

12. My Brother is running the Irish house right now and is having a blast spending %100 of his time down town. I don't think they're making millions though as they had to hire 128 new staff, rent the lot, pay for licence, pay the noise fines, stock the shelves +++.

Hoping to get another pic like this one some place at the onlympics, might have to pull a few strings.

13. I've heard the bars that pop up in parking lots for 2 weeks during Calgary Stampede make a million \$. Should be no problem for Irish House. I spent \$100 on beer @ the German Fan tent by Steamworks and it was free to get in.

They are making great money but not near your projections. Remember they only have so many days at this rate and there were some fixed one time costs plus staff. You'd be amazed at how fast expenses can kill you when not watched carefully.
